What are infrared saunas?

The lamps in infrared saunas focus a penetrating warmth directly on your skin to bring heat-therapy benefits. Traditional methods crank up the air temperature within an entire sauna. Those two approaches bring up vastly different readings on thermometers. Temperatures in infrared saunas typically land between 110 degrees Fahrenheit and 135 F. A traditional sauna usually falls between 150 F and 195 F.

Infrared saunas can definitely be much more comfortable for people while delivering the same sort of benefits.

sauna etiquette

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session so that you may start right at appointment time. Drink plenty of water prior to, during, and after your session. A bathing suit must be worn in the sauna at all times. Please bring a bath towel to spread over the sauna bench to catch perspiration. You can also bring a washcloth to wipe excess perspiration off after your session.

There is a built-in transition time of 15 minutes after your session. This allows time for you to prepare for your next treatment and gives our staff time to disinfect the sauna and clean the room before the next sauna session begins.

We ask that you exit the sauna room within 5 minutes of your session conclusion so that we have time to sanitize and prepare the space for the next client.
